Protective mother Liv Tyler guides son Milo safely across the road on his scooter.

The 33-year-old actress appeared to be teaching the five-year-old to ‘stop, look and listen’ as they enjoyed an afternoon out in the New York sunshine yesterday.

Liv showed off her never-ending legs in a pair of shorted dungarees, while Milo looked cute in a blue T-shirts and striped red shorts, worn over grey jogging bottoms.

Liv recently admitted she found it hard being separated from her son whilst filming two different projects this year.

The single mother filmed comedy Super, alongside Ellen Page and Kevin Bacon, and drama The Ledge, by British director Matthew Chapman, on location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

While she was away on set, Milo stayed with his father, Spacehog bassist Royston Langdon.

She told Tatler magazine: ‘It’s the first time I’ve ever spent this long without him.

‘It was really hard, but it’s also hard bringing him (Milo) back into the mix and working so hard – it’s exhausting.’

Miss Tyler, who is the face of Givenchy, also revealed her son had travelled with her for photoshoots in Paris and Switzerland.

‘I wouldn’t have it any other way, and he likes to be with me,” she added.

She also spoke of her difficulty at finding love since her split with Langdon in May 2008.

She told Tatler magazine: ‘I fall in love once in a blue moon.

‘I wouldn’t be capable of having a casual fling. I’m far too sensitive, and I just wouldn’t have any pleasure from it.’

At the end of August, a lawsuit was filed with US District Court against a Beverly Hills salon owner, Maria Gabriella Perez, stating that she illegally used the credit card information of several of her clients and made fraudulent charges on those cards over the course of a year.

Jennifer Aniston, Anne Hathaway, Liv Tyler and other celebrities were victims of this credit card fraud to the tune of over a quarter of a million dollars. Perez had been doing business with the stars for quite a while, in fact she had signed autographs from them adorning her salon walls. However, her close relationship didn’t deter her from stealing a lot of their money.

Everyone has their off days – even Hollywood actresses.

Liv Tyler was pictured yesterday outside Grand Central Station in New York City looking decidedly frumpy and mumsy in a brightly patterned dress.

The 33-year-old actress had no make-up on as she laughed with a friend and snacked on a bag of Cheetos crisps.

Tyler’s dress was unflattering to say the least, doing nothing to show off her figure, which she fought hard to regain after the birth of her son, Milo nearly six years ago.

Today though there was quite a transformation as the Incredible Hulk star took Milo along for a shopping trip in down town New York.

Tyler was wearing some short black shorts over opaque leggings which showed off her shapely toned legs perfectly.

Her hair was pulled back into a simple bun and she wore a pair of black ray ban sunglasses.

Tyler’s face looked beautiful with just a hint of make-up and some pink lipstick in place.

Judging by the size of Milo his days of being carried by his mother are limited.

The young boy turns six in December and he’s really shot up in size in recent months.

Milo’s father is musician, Royston Langdon from the band Spacehog.

Tyler and Langdon separated in 2008 after five years of marriage. At the time Tyler revealed that their split led her to move to Los Angeles, explaining that it was hard to be in the New York home they shared.

Despite being linked to several men, Tyler has remained single since her marriage breakup.

Recently she stated that she was ‘far too sensitive’ for casual dates, adding: ‘I fall in love once in a blue moon.’
