The 34-year-old actress – who has been dating photographer Theo Wenner for the past six months – explained she is constantly attempting to find out what the meaning of “life and love” are. She said: “Am I happy in love? I’m still trying to figure love out. I’m honestly still trying to figure it all out. Life and love and my ideas of love. And what love really is. And how it works and what it all means.” The brunette beauty – who has a seven-year-old son, Milo, with ex-husband Royston Langdon – admitted she has been using her own experiences of love as a child in an attempt to understand who she is as a person. Liv added in an interview with Marie Claire magazine: “I’m actually really trying to apply myself to understanding who I am, how I work, what I’ve done in the past, and my childhood, and how I am at raising a child. “What I saw as a child in love, the examples I saw and how that affects who I am today in love. Liv Tyler learns about love and life “every day”. Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and Samuel Goldwyn Films are partnering on the U.S. theatrical release and jointly acquiring North American rights to Park Pictures Features’ Robot & Frank, for north of $2 million. The comedy from first-time director Jake Schreier has garnered strongly positive reviews out of the fest. It stars Frank Langella and Susan Sarandon alongside James Marsden, Liv Tyler, Jeremy Sisto, Jeremy Strong and Peter Sarsgaard, who voices the titular robot. Christopher Ford wrote the futuristic script, which follows a retired jewel thief named Frank (Langella) who gets a new lease on life when he’s introduced to a surprising new companion. With the help of his new friend, he attempts to woo a local librarian (Sarandon) and resume his criminal escapades. Robot & Frank is Park Pictures Features’ first film, and it was produced in association with White Hat Entertainment and Dog Run Pictures. Producers include Galt Niederhoffer, Sam Bisbee, Jackie Kelman Bisbee and Lance Acord. Additionally, SPWA has acquired all media rights for Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Scandinavia and Eastern Europe including Russia.

Actress Liv Tyler is following her father and stepfather into the music business after recording a cover of an Inxs tune for a new Givenchy ad. The 34 year old admits she grew up dreaming of chart success but appearances in her dad Steven Tyler’s Aerosmith videos led to more on screen time and less in the studio. But now she’s tackling music at last, telling People.com, “I got to record a cover of Inxs’ I Need You Tonight for a Givenchy commercial. It was fun and terrifying and wonderful. “I always thought when I was a little girl that I’d be a singer. My mom (Bebe Buell) was always in bands. My dad. And my stepfather, Todd Rundgren, is an incredible musician.”

The actress is thrilled her rocker dad is going to marry Erin Brady – an executive for Clear Channel – and she can’t wait for the wedding. Liv Tyler is set to star in medical drama The Side Effect. The Lord of the Rings actress will play a woman named Catherine Rigby who spends several months alone in space for a global pharmaceutical company, only to find herself inexplicably pregnant in the film, set to be helmed by Ti West. Ted Hope and Peter Phok will produce the picture. Commenting on the part, Liv said: “West is a super-talented, exciting young filmmaker. The role of Rigby is a fantastic character within a great thriller and I am looking forward to sinking my teeth into the part.” Ti is best known for horror films – including Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever and The House of the Devil – and he says his experience will play part in the new movie. He told Deadline.com: “Although it is still somewhat of a horror film, it is much more psychological than any of my previous efforts. “It was essential that I find an actress who could portray a wide range of emotion and always earn the audience’s sympathy no matter what the situation. As soon as I sat down with Liv, it was obvious she was the one.”

Liv Tyler says she needs “three hours” preparation time before attending a glamorous event. The stunning actress has graced many a red carpet and has admitted she books a generous time slot with her style team to get ready. As a model and the face of French cosmetics company Givenchy, the brunette never steps out looking anything less than perfect. “If I’m going to an evening event I book three hours for hair and make-up,” she explained in an interview with British magazine Now. “This morning I was rushed as I only had an hour and a half and they were double teaming me!” The 34-year-old also revealed that when she is at home, getting ready is a more relaxed affair. Liv described how she gets into the party mood with a glass of wine and “a giggle”. “I like to get ready in the kitchen at my house, so we all sit around the table and try outfits on, have a bottle of rose, listen to music and have a giggle,” she smiled.
